Summer Cherry Sorbet


Mmmm! Sweet and a little tart? perfect! great way to use up fresh sour cherries.

Steps


Combine the water and sugar in a small sauce pan , and reduce over medium high heat until you have 1 1 / 4 cups of simple syrup.
Meanwhile , puree cherries in a blender until smooth , and then strain through a sieve to get out all the pulp.
Combine simple syrup and cherry juice in a bowl , and chill until cold.
Freeze the mixture in your ice cream maker according to manufactures directions.
Serve immediately , or scoop into a plastic container with a lid , then place in the freezer to harden up.
