This is a recipe from my sister. it has been passed down through her husband's family. it is to die for. i get excited whenever she says that she is making a cake because i know this will be on top. it is amazing on any cake, but i love it on chocolate.

Steps

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Add the brown sugar and boil for 1 minute , stirring constantly until it is slightly thick.

Cool slightly.

---

Add the milk and 2 cups of the powdered sugar.

Mix until smooth.

---

Add more powered sugar until it reaches desired consistency.

---

Frost immediately ! frosting will thicken and harden as it cools.
