Kelly's Kihei Maui Teriyaki Sauce
This is a recipe that we used growing up on maui. We mostly used it to marinade chicken or beef short rips and then grill the. because of the sugar content, like barbecue sauce, be careful because it burns easily. I always cook on the grill using indirect heat.
Steps
Grate ginger root , crush garlic , and dice scallion.
Mix all ingredients together until sugar dissolves pretty well.
Marinade your choice of meat for at least 4 hours , but better overnight.
Grill and enjoy ! serve local style" with sticky rice and macaroni salad !".
