Kabul Party Rice


Quick and colorful rice dish.

Steps


Place carrots in saucepan add water , cover.
Bring to a boil , reduce heat , cover and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Drain.
Melt margarine in a skillet on medium heat.
Add onions , saut until lightly brown.
Combine drained carrots , rice and onions.
Stir in pine nuts , raisins , chilies , and spices.
Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes.
Serve hot.
