Golden Fried Oysters


From the cast iron skillet cookbook.

Steps


Combine flour , cornmeal , chili powder , salt and pepper.
Set aside.
Heat oil in cast iron skillet until it reaches 350 or flour bubbles immediately upon being sprinkled in it.
Dredge oysters in flour mixture , shake off excess flour and fry in oil until golden brown , about 2 minutes.
Transfer to paper towels.
