Fruit Crisp In Foil Packets


Originally posted for zwt5 from well fed man site. after looking at chef#981780 review, i knew that i needed to revise this. made this (02-23-10), (2-27-10), and (3-16-10) and would like to thank my darling hubby-the best husband ever-- for helping me fine tune this.

Steps


Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In cup , stir in orange juice , 1 teaspoon of the brown sugar , and 1 / 2 teaspoon of cinnamon with apple.
Put apples into medium bowl , dump above mixture in , and mix.
Into medium bowl mix together remaining brown sugar , remaining cinnamon , quick cooking oats , flour , walnuts , flax seeds , nutmeg , and the grated butter.
Cut two foil pieces into 12 inch squares.
Divide the apple mixture between the two.
Divide and sprinkle the oatmeal mixture onto the apple.
Seal foil.
Bake sealed for 14 minutes , and unsealed for 10 minutes.
Mix together yogurt and maple syrup and use as a topping , if you want.
Ice cream is what we topped ours with.
