French Breakfast Muffins Sugar Top Muffins
I love these muffins. I've been hooked on them ever since my dad started making them for breakfast. Note that you won't use all of the sugary topping and the 2 flours isn't a typo, it's just the only way zaar will let me write it out.
Steps
Preheat oven to 400.
Combine flour , cup sugar , baking powder , salt and nutmeg.
Add milk , egg , and 1 / 3 cup melted butter.
Mix thoroughly.
Grease 18 small muffin tins.
Fill full and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove muffins from pan immediately.
While warm , dip tops of muffins in the 3 tablespoons melted butter and roll in a mixture of the cinnamon , cup sugar and vanilla.
Serve warm.
