Dilo's Chicken Corn Chowder

Took me a long time to perfect this, but now that i feel it can't get any better (and the family feels the same). it's definitely a family favorite and requested when people come to visit. i started with basic chicken corn chowder and added sweet potatoes one time and loved it. But it still wasn't quite there, then the key was a bit of cinnamon for flavoring. this bides well on a cold rainy or snowy day.

Steps

In a large pot brown the bacon until crisp and add the chunked chicken.
After brown add onions and carrots and allow to simmer and steam for a few minutes.
Add potatoes and corn , then enough milk to cover it all usually 3 or 4 cups.
Add the cinnamon then salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to boil for 5 minutes , turn down to simmer 20 minutes.

Ingredients

hickory smoked bacon, boneless skinless chicken thighs, sweet onions, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, sweet corn, milk, ground cinnamon, salt and pepper
