Chocolate Old Fashioned Pie

This is from my husband's grandmother, who was a fantastic cook. It's a simple pie, but rich and delicious. Time listed does not include cooling time.

Steps

---

Bake pie crust according to directions and let cool.

Combine all remaining ingredients in a large pot and heat to a simmer , stirring constantly until thickened.

Remove pan from burner and place a piece of plastic wrap directly on top of chocolate filling.

---

Let pan stand until cool.

---

Spoon filling into pie crust.

---

Serve with whipped cream.
