Brown Rice And Vegetables
Toasting the rice beforehand lends a somewhat nutty flavor to the dish
Steps
Heat olive oil , onions and celery in a saucepan large enough to hold the rice over medium heat.
When the vegetables are tender and translucent , add the rice.
Stir frequently until the rice is lightly toasted.
Add the vegetable broth and set the heat to low.
Simmer until liquid is absorbed.
Approximately 30 minutes.
