Blueberry Oat Bars


While i thought these tasted great, i had trouble convincing others to try them. If you can get past the blue color, they are a wonderful and relatively healthy treat. If you use non-dairy margarine instead of butter, they are dairy-free.

Steps


Combine the oats , flour , sugar , salt , baking powder and nutmeg.
Mix well.
Mix in butter until crumbly.
In a separate bowl , beat the egg and then mix in orange juice and vanilla.
Combine the two mixtures and blend.
Drain the blueberries and combine with mix.
Put batter in a greased pan.
Brush the topc with the melted butter and top with sugar.
Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes or until browned on top.
