Speedy Salsa Beef Chile
This recipe makes a big batch of chile that freezes well. The bottled salsa gives instant flavour without a long simmering time.
Steps
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add beef and cook until no longer pink.
Dice onion and celery and add to pot.
Sprinkle garlic , chile powder , and cumin over beef.
Stir in onion and celery and saute 2-3 minutes.
Stir in tomatoes , water , , salsa , and corn.
Bring to a boil and simmer 15 minutes.
Rinse and drain kidney beans and add to pot.
Cook covered until beans are tender-about 5 minutes.
