Scotch Squares

Similar to chocolate chip cookies but in a square. Another favorite from my scottish gran. Hard to get exact measurements from them..i.e( 2 handfuls of chocolate chips..they cook by feel i guess)

Steps

---

Preheat oven to 350.

---

Cream margarine , brown sugar until light and fluffy.

---

Add vanilla and egg.

---

Beat well.

---

Sift flour , baking powder and salt.

---

Add to cream mixture and stir well until blended.

---

Stir in chocolate chips.

---

Spread dough into a 9x9 pan.

---

Bake 25-30 minutes.

---

Cut into squares while slightly warm.
